NTEU WA
For over twenty years, higher education workers have come together as the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) to protect staff working conditions. Promoting a quality higher education system that values staff and students is the foundation of the Union. NTEU members believe that by working together we can ensure our universities, research institutes and other education workplaces are great places to work.
The Union represents full-time, part-time, fixed-term and sessional/casual members in all areas of the university, and includes research staff, staff employed by student organisations and those working in university companies. NTEU WA Division has members in each university in Western Australia.
Our union provides members with:
- a voice in our workplace and a chance to make a difference
- expert support for individuals and groups when they have a problem at work
- expertly negotiated Enterprise Agreements, leading to improved pay and working conditions
- a voice in support of higher education in national debates and government decision-making
