I'm voting Yes in Ballarat
Every Australian is being asked to vote on whether Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should have a say on the issues that affect their communities.
Our community, Ballarat, is organising for a strong YES vote so that we can move forward together!
Why is this important?
Standing up together to be heard by government is central to Ballarat's story. We know we believe that everyone should have a meaningful say in the issues that affect our communities. When we take advice from other people with different perspectives, we can often find better solutions. Australians will all benefit from hearing the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and sharing in First Nations contributions to our national identity. We're voting YES because we know local communities have answers, not just politicians.
