I work for a mining company that produces silica daily and at the end of the day they just don’t care about anyone’s health. They only care about getting the job done. People at my work have been stood down because of silica exposure with only 80% of their pay and relying on work cover for the rest. They will have a long road ahead of them with medical appointments and law suits, while others get employed to silica exposure. The production of silica needs to be abolished.
