Requesting a Public Hearing into invisible disabilities
Call For Change Australia is requesting a Public Hearing into experiences of invisible disabilities.
We note that none of the 22 Public Hearings scheduled or completed to date have provided a forum to discuss the issues facing people who are chronically ill and/or have an invisible disability.
“90% of the 4.4 million people with disabilities in Australia are living with an invisible disability.” (source: University of Sydney). Therefore, this is a huge gap the Disability Royal Commission has overlooked and a vital area for the DRC to address.

Why is this important?
We believe this Public Hearing will help those in the community that desperately need a voice to stop the violence, abuse and neglect in their communities.
