Looks like the council has made a decision to increase our rates by 1.5% amidst the Covid-19 outbreak.
Our rural community and local businesses that are not primary industry have already received a huge economic hit by being closed for as long as they have. Eventually this will affect primary industries also. Our council should be supporting their residents during this time, not make it harder for everyone.
The image here shows what Corangamite council can achieve with NO rate rises.
Golden plains appear to be reducing their rates. Why can’t Colac Otway do the same?
