SAVE OUR CHILDCARE

We, as members of the Willoughby City Council community, are calling on our elected Councillors to overturn the decision to privatise our only council-run childcare.

This decision was taken without adequate consultation. We call on the Council to hold an urgent public forum to address our need for high quality, affordable, culturally sensitive and accessible childcare locally.

We are parents, ratepayers, local business owners and employees of Willoughby City Council, and we say Devonshire Street Children’s Centre should remain in Council’s hands. We say prioritise our kids and the livelihoods of the centre’s educators!
