Fair Redundancy Entitlements for All Employees

Dear Mr Nayagam,

We, the undersigned employees of DXC Enterprise Services Australia, write to express our deep concern about the unequal treatment of employees who are currently covered by the EDS People Agreement.

DXC has offered superior redundancy provisions to all other employees covered by the proposed new DXC Enterprise Services Australia Enterprise Agreement 2025 than those currently covered by the EDS People Agreement.

This creates an unfair and unjust two-tier system within DXC’s Enterprise Services workforce.

Employees covered by the EDS People Agreement:
  • Have given years of dedicated service to DXC and our clients;
  • Are being asked to continue delivering high-quality work with integrity through significant organisational change;
  • Yet are not being offered the same redundancy entitlements, even though we all face the same risks of organisational restructure.

We call on DXC Technology to:
1. Do the right thing and extend the same redundancy provisions offered to all employees under the proposed Enterprise Agreement – namely:
  • ½ month’s salary per year of service;
  • A minimum of 3 months’ redundancy pay;
  • A cap of 14 months’ redundancy pay; or
  • Where applicable, provide redundancy provisions in line with individual contractual terms if they are more favourable.

2. Ensure consistent and equitable treatment of all employees, regardless of which agreement or Award they are currently covered by;

3. Demonstrate DXC’s commitment to integrity, fairness, and shared values.

Fair redundancy entitlements should apply to all workers who have helped build DXC’s business—not only to some.

We are not asking for special treatment—only equal treatment.

Signed,
DXC Enterprise Services Employees

Why is this important?

Long-serving DXC workers are fighting for equal treatment by our employer. Despite our loyalty and dedication, we're being denied the same redundancy entitlements, even though we all face the same risks of organisational restructure.  This isn’t about perks, it’s about job security and fairness. The current offer divides the workforce, rewarding some while disadvantaging others who’ve contributed just as much. We're demanding equal rights, dignity, and respect.
