Parks & Wildlife Service workers are among the lowest-paid employees in the Tasmanian public sector, with many staff stuck on training wages for years.
From visitor centre staff, to rangers, to firefighters, to admin workers, we're all part of Parks.
Yet some workers are still excluded, underpaid, and left behind.
Others fight bushfires alongside colleagues doing the same work for different pay.
We're calling on Jeremy Rockliff's government to negotiate a new Parks and Wildlife Agreement that provides:
• Recognition
• Fair Pay
• Fair Conditions
• Opportunities to progress.
All Parks and Wildlife Service members should be part of the new agreement and not divided.

All Parks staff are critical in ensuring our natural places -- their flora and fauna -- are protected and maintained and that visitors to our Parks are safe and provided the services they need.
Rangers, visitors centre staff, administration workers, firefighters and others deserve fair wages, conditions and opportunities to progress their careers. We need to retain these important workers and attract new ones to ensure the long-term health of our unique natural environment.
