Same Care - Less Pay

We call on the CEO of GenesisCare Australia to deliver a fair enterprise agreement for Radiation Therapists and Patient Services Officers in South Australia.

These dedicated healthcare workers provide essential cancer treatment, care and support to South Australians every day. Yet they remain among the lowest paid in the country, earning significantly less than their counterparts interstate and in the public sector.

These workers love their jobs and are proud of the care they provide. All they are asking for is fair pay that reflects their skills, experience and the important work they do.

Negotiations have stalled, leaving workers with little choice but to take industrial action.

It's time for GenesisCare to listen to its workers, return to the bargaining table with a fair offer, and deliver wages and conditions comparable to those available elsewhere in Australia.

Why is this important?

Cancer treatment saves lives, but behind every patient receiving care is a team of dedicated healthcare workers making that treatment possible.

Radiation Therapists and Patient Services Officers play a vital role in delivering cancer treatment and supporting patients through some of the most challenging times in their lives.

South Australians deserve access to high-quality cancer care, and that depends on having a strong, skilled and experienced workforce.

When healthcare workers are paid significantly less than their counterparts elsewhere, it becomes harder to attract and retain the staff needed to deliver these essential services.

We cannot afford to lose experienced cancer care workers simply because they can earn more doing the same job somewhere else.

Fair pay isn't just about supporting healthcare workers. It's about protecting the future of cancer treatment in South Australia.

Stand with GenesisCare workers and help secure the workforce our community depends on.
