This morning started like any other. I woke up, put on my uniform, packed my bag and started to scroll through Facebook. I saw pictures of my friends, an update on the Australian Cricket team and then a came to a sensationalist story referring to the Coronavirus killing the entire world population. This is particularly concerning: a deliberate misrepresentation and misconstruction of the Covid19 - coronavirus was spreading faster than the disease itself.
Why is this important?
As the media is click baiting audiences through fear mongering with false statistics and reports but also out casting minorities in our society and not taking due responsibility in a so called ‘time of crisis’.
