Over the last few days thousands of Hospo Voice members and supporters have piled the pressure on Joes Shoe Store over its treatment of staff. Following this pressure management at Joe’s urgently requested a meeting to seek to resolve the issues contained in Alfonso’s petition. Management has agreed to meet with Hospo Voice leaders, and allow us to review employee payslips. They have agreed to resolve any issues we uncover. Joe's has also agreed to resolve Alfonso's concerns about being underpaid wages and superannuation, and Hospo Voice leaders will meet with Joe's to ensure they comply. With your support, UTAS listened to Security Officers; and as a result, United Voice members have been able to secure some significant wins through this campaign. They are: * A commitment that all jobs will be permanent with casuals only being utilised for backfill and leave * Wilson will train all those who do not yet have their cert 3 to obtain it free of charge * Wilson will consult security officers around rostering These are fantastic and hard fought for wins by United Voice members. However, members have been clear that their fight is not over until every United Voice member is given a job they can count on.

Thanks to union and community support, CSR Gyprock workers in Yarraville have won. Workers will now get a fair and reasonable pay increase that keeps up with the cost of living. Thanks for sticking up for workers and CFMEU members - merry Christmas and happy New Year.
